If you love racing, you will love the sound of your Ford Mustang, but your neighbors may not love the rumbling of the car, especially in the morning when they are just getting off the bed. When you near home, you can choose the quiet or the “good neighbor” mode to ensure that your neighbors do not complain. However, when you go to pick the kids at school, or when you are on the highway and on the racing tracks, you can crank up the sound with the Sport or Track Mode.
The adjustable exhaust system works with variable valves that open and close to regulate how the engine sounds. When you change the mode, the valves open and close to alter the sound level from the exhaust. Changing the mode from one to the next requires you to only tap the console. Select the mode and then activate it. After that, you can set how many hours you need the mode to run.
